We’re delighted to welcome Rhiannon Lawson to CDPS as interim Head of Standards.
Rhiannon has worked in technology across government and the wider public sector for 6 years, most recently as the Deputy Director for Technology Modernisation, Service Design and Technology Standards at the Government Digital Service and the Central Digital and Data Office.
The Digital Service Standards are the backbone of all we do at CDPS. They help organisations consider all the elements that lead to better services for the people of Wales.
We want all public service organisations in Wales to embed user centred service design into their service delivery. Rhiannon’s role will be essential in ensuring the standards are understood and adopted and embedded for better service delivery and outcomes for users.
Rhiannon will lead on the development of a service manual – which will bring the standards to life, show what good looks like and provide tools to make it easy for organisations to adopt them.
Rhiannon will also own any ongoing iterations of the standards and establish and manage a standards board, working closely with the chief digital officers in local government, Welsh Government and health.
Outside work, Rhiannon is a trustee for 5Rights Foundation, which campaigns for a digital world in which children and young people thrive. She has a podcast with three friends (The Unfairer Sex) and is a serial bridesmaid, avid gym goer and dinosaur lover.
